Our current staff include:
Prof Ken Killham, BSc PhD (Senior Science Consultant)Ken is one of the UK's foremost authorities on the assessment and remediation of contaminated land. He is the established Professor of Soil Science at Aberdeen University, chairs the UK Soil Science Advisory Committee, is Past-President of the British Soil Science Society and sits on several UK Research Council committees and institute Boards to provide expertise on soils and on contaminated land issues.

Prof Graeme Paton, BSc PhD (Technical Director)Graeme is a soil toxicologist. He specialises in understanding the relationship between biology and pollution and in designing and applying remediation strategies. He is also a Professor at the University of Aberdeen where he directs the Postgraduate Masters Programme that focuses on contaminated land issues.

Dave Mardlin, BSc PGC MSc (Senior Environmental Consultant)Dave has extensive experience in research such as toxicity testing; fugitive emission monitoring; and managing contaminated land projects from Phase 1 site investigations to remediation.

Dr Kirk T. Semple, BSc, PhD (Technical Consultant)Kirk is a soil microbiologist, who specialises in understanding the interactions between contaminants in soils and their interaction with soil biota, with particular focus on bioavailability and biodegradation.

Paul Arthur BSc (Hons) Ecology (Researcher)Paul completed his degree at Lancaster University in 2005 and is currently studying for a PhD. Prior to returning to education he worked in private industry for 12 years, initially as a microbiologist and later in business management.

Liz Diplock BSc (Hons) MSc (Researcher)Liz gained her degree in Environmental Science (Pollution and Reclamation) and MSc by research in Soil Science at the University of Aberdeen. Currently she is studying for a PhD whilst working along side Remedios, her industrial sponsor. Research interests include contaminated land issues with respect to fate of pollutants within the environment, risk assessment and remediation.

Catrin Thomas BSc (Hons) MSc AIEMA (Environmental Consultant)Catrin obtained her degree in Environmental Biology at Bangor University and MSc Soil Science at the University of Aberdeen. Previously working as an analyst, she has experience in soil, environmental fate and eco-toxicity research.

Dr Hugh Addlesee, BSc MSc PhD AIEMA (Environmental Consultant)Hugh has a diverse background in biological sciences including microbiology. He also has an MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Aberdeen, and has previously worked in the groundwater unit of SEPA.
