Ken Killham

Professor Ken Killham, BSc PhD (Science Director)

Ken is one of the UK's foremost authorities on the assessment and remediation of contaminated land. He is the established Professor of Soil Science at Aberdeen University, chairs the UK Soil Science Advisory Committee, is Past-President of the British Soil Science Society and sits on several UK Research Council committees and institute Boards to provide expertise on soils and on contaminated land issues.

Graeme Paton

Dr Graeme Paton, BSc PhD (Technical Director)

Graeme is a soil toxicologist. He specialises in understanding the relationship between biology and pollution and in designing and applying remediation strategies. He is also a Reader at the University of Aberdeen where he directs the Postgraduate Masters Programme that focuses on contaminated land issues.

Diarmuid O'Sullivan

Diarmuid O'Sullivan, BSc MSc AIEMA (Senior Environmental Consultant and Operations Manager)

Diarmuid has over six years experience as an environmental consultant on contaminated land and waste management projects. Diarmuid is currently the Senior Consultant as well as the Operations manager for the company.

Dave Mardlin

Dave Mardlin, BSc PGC MSc (Environmental Consultant)

Dave has six years experience in research in toxicity testing and contaminated land projects. He has international experience in toxicity testing, groundwater investigation and remediation projects in Germany and Norway.

Lucy Stuart

Lucy Stuart, BSc MSc (Environmental Consultant)

Lucy has a degree in Zoology and has an MSc in Ecology. She has got considerable experience in freshwater ecology and completed her Master's thesis in conjunction with SEPA. She also completed a summer placement scheme with SEPA in their Aberdeen office. In addition to this, Lucy has experience of contaminated land investigations and project management.

Kirk Semple

Dr Kirk T. Semple, BSc, PhD (Technical Consultant)

Kirk is a soil microbiologist, who specialises in understanding the interactions between contaminants in soils and their interaction with soil biota, with particular focus on bioavailability and biodegradation.

Paul Arthur

Paul Arthur BSc (Hons) Ecology (Researcher)

Paul completed his degree at Lancaster University in 2005 and is currently studying for a PhD. Prior to returning to education he worked in private industry for 12 years, initially as a microbiologist and later in business management.

 

Liz Diplock

Liz Diplock BSc (Hons) MSc (Researcher)

Liz gained her degree in Environmental Science (Pollution and Reclamation) and MSc by research in Soil Science at the University of Aberdeen. Currently she is studying for a PhD whilst working along side Remedios, her industrial sponsor. Research interests include contaminated land issues with respect to fate of pollutants within the environment, risk assessment and remediation.

 

Dr. Eltijani A. Elias

Dr. Eltijani A. Elias, BSc MPhil PhD DipEM AIEMA (Environmental Consultant)

Tijani has a PhD in Environmental Soil Chemistry as well as a professional Diploma in Environmental Management from the British Safety Council. He is a specialist in Environmental Soil Chemistry and has international working experience in Environmental Management with emphasis on contaminated land in various global locations including Sudan, Germany and the UK.

Catrin Thomas

Catrin Thomas, BSc MSc (Environmental Consultant)

Catrin obtained her degree in Environmental Biology at Bangor University and MSc Soil Science at the University of Aberdeen. Previously working as an analyst, she has experience in soil, environmental fate and eco-toxicity research.
